Cake balls are small spheres of reconstituted cake crumbs, coated with chocolate or frosting. They are made by blending cake crumbs with icing, shaping them to form a ball and then dipping them in a coating, such as melted chocolate. Cake balls were originally created from the crumbs of leftover or stale cake to prevent waste.
Cake balls do not have the consistency of the traditional sweetened, baked and leavened cakes, but have a consistency similar to dough which can be attributed to the blending of the cake crumbs and icing. Cake balls are sold in various bakeries as well as mall kiosks; they are also available to be purchased as gifts. The bite-sized snacks may be displayed on a stick (known as a cake pop), and can be decorated with ribbon. They are especially popular during the holiday months.
Cake balls can be decorated with toppings in a variety of ways, using such items as sprinklesnuts, chocolate shavings, candy, otherconfectionery toppings, to name a few. Almond bark or confectionery coating are often used as alternatives to chocolate, and can be easily melted in a microwave oven before dipping. Vegan and gluten-free cake balls also exist.

Have a nice day with your cake balls..

A little about trifle chocolate..^_^

There’s a funny story behind this trifle—well, actually, a fortunate accident. I was getting ready to frost a chocolate cake when I dropped it on the counter and it broke into several pieces. My still delicious but no longer very attractive cake needed a new and creative plan. Luckily, inspiration struck—I decided to turn my cake into a trifle.
Cake, fruit, syrup, and whipped cream—that’s all there is to it. In England, trifles are traditionally made with slices of sherry-soaked sponge cake, which are spread with jam and vanilla pastry cream and then layered in a large bowl. But the basic idea of layering cake and fillings in a bowl is really just a jumping off point for many variations. My favorite is a Black Forest trifle—a layered twist on the famous cake that combines cherries and chocolate—which starts with a simple chocolate cake. I brush the cake with a mixture of the syrup from canned cherries and cherry brandy—this really intensifies the flavor of the trifle. A generous amount of lofty whipped cream and the cherries themselves serve as the other layers of the trifle.
Assemble in a glass bowl, spreading each layer to the edge. Once you’ve made the components of the trifle, putting it together is simply a matter of brushing the cake with the syrup and layering it, along with the cherries and whipped cream, in a pretty bowl. A glass bowl is always a good choice for serving, because it looks festive and allows guests to see the different trifle layers. I use a classic trifle bowl but a regular 2 1/2- to 3-quart bowl is fine. Be sure to spread each layer to the edge of the bowl; this way, the layers and colors will be clearly visible. The white whipped cream looks stunning against the dark chocolate cake.
For the best flavor, make it ahead. A trifle benefits from being prepared in advance; this allows the flavors to come together. So make your trifle a few hours ahead and leave it in the refrigerator to rest. You can also make the cake and syrup up to a day ahead. Just wrap the cake and keep it at room temperature, and cover and refrigerate the syrup. Serving a trifle to a crowd is easy. Set out the bowl with a big spoon and let your guests help themselves. Digging through all those layers and taking as much as you want is about as fun as dessert can get.

Till then,,hope you enjoy,,and don't forget to try it..!

A little about Dunkin' Donuts..

The name has evolved since William Rosenberg and Stephen So opened their first restaurant in 1948 as Open Kettle, in Quincy, Massachusetts The name changed to Kettle Donuts in 1949, and the now corporate name Dunkin' Donuts adopted in 1950.[7] Rosenberg conceived of the idea for the chain after his experiences selling food in factories and at construction sites, where doughnuts and coffee were the two most popular items.[3] Rosenberg sold franchise of Dunkin' Donuts to others as early as 1955. In 1959, the company began growing, which led Rosenberg to lobby for Dunkin' Donuts at the International Franchise Association. In 2002, Rosenberg passed away from bladder cancer at the age of 86 in his Mashpee, Cape Cod home.[3]
The chain's 100th restaurant opened in 1963. "Munchkins", a pastry that resembles the center of a doughnut when cut, was debuted debuted in 1972. Growth was exponential starting in 1979 when the chain had 1,000 restaurants in 1979, 2,000 in 1990, and 3,000 in 1992. In 1996, bagels were introduced to the Dunkin' Donuts menu and breakfast sandwiches the following year.[8]
In 2004, the company's headquarters were relocated to Canton.[9] The following year, four-time James Beard Foundation Award nominee Stan Frankenthaler was appointed the company's debut Executive Chef/Director of Culinary Development.[10] In 2006, Dunkin' Donuts began using the slogan "America Runs on Dunkin" which continues to be used in many advertisement campaigns.[8]
In 2008, Dunkin' Donuts opened its first "green" restaurant in St. Petersburg, Florida that is Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified. The location program includes: worm composting to repurpose such wastes as coffee grounds and paper products into fertilizer for local farms and gardens, water-efficient plumbing fixtures, and the use of well water rather than potable water for all landscape irrigation.[11] On December 10, 2008, Nigel Travis was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Dunkin’ Brands. He also assumed the role of Dunkin’ Donuts President at the end of 2009.
In 2010, Dunkin' Donuts' global system-wide sales were $6 billion.[12] In 2011, Dunkin' Donuts ranked first for customer loyalty in the coffee category by Brand Keys for five continuous years.[13]
In April 2012, Dunkin' Donuts switched its beverage provider from previously served PepsiCo products to The Coca-Cola Company since rivals increasingly served PepsiCo products the United States; PepsiCo's Gatorade remained on the menu. Canadaian restaurants did not switch.
In 2012, Dunkin' Donuts launched its first-ever mobile application for payment and gifting for iPhone, iPod touch and Android smartphones.[14] In May 2013, Dunkin’ Donuts Mobile® App launched a new language setting that enables users to view content in English or Spanish.[15] In May 2013, Nigel Travis assumed the role of Chairman of the Board and Paul Twohig was appointed to President, Dunkin' Donuts U.S. & Canada.[16]
Dunkin' Brands was bought by French beverage company Pernod Ricard S.A. from Allied Domecq under the corporate name of Allied Domecq Quick Service Restaurants. In 2014, Dunkin' Donuts is owned by Dunkin' Brands Inc. that also owns Baskin-Robbins and previously owned the Togo's chain, the latter sold it in late 2007 to a private equity firm. Pernod Ricard agreed in December 2005 to sell the Dunkin' Brands a consortium of three private-equity firms: Bain Capital Partners, the Carlyle Group and Thomas H. Lee PartnersMister Donut had represented a major competitor in the United States before the company was bought by Dunkin' Donuts' parent company and all the acquired stores were rebranded as Dunkin' Donuts; Dunkin' controls the rights to the Mister Donut trademark.[citation needed].
In the United States, the company's major competitors include Krispy Kreme donuts, Starbucks, and small locally owned doughnut shops; Tim Hortons is the major competitor in Canada. Donut Factory is the local rival in Colombia where local tastes dictate donut offerings.[17]..

OPEN DAY KAB..... ^___^

Apa pesanan PU Rahmat??
Kitalah pencetus ummah, yakni pencetus anak murid.

Seorang Guru Biologi telah menjadikan PU Rahmat yangg dahulunya budak nakal, kini seorang PENCETUS UMMAH.. Ingatlah, kita belum tentu akan dapat menggenggam segulung IJAZAH, tapi..kita dah confirm menjadi calon JENAZAH ..
